Terms of use
Effective 4 October 2026
ingot is a training log with automated suggestions, not a doctor or a personal trainer. You decide what you lift. Pro renews automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID settings.
Agreement
By downloading or using ingot you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Not medical advice
Weight and rep targets, coach messages, splits and analytics are generated automatically from rules and AI models. They are general fitness information, not medical, physiotherapy or professional training advice, and they can be wrong. Check with a doctor before starting or changing an exercise programme, especially if you have an injury, a health condition or are pregnant.
Strength training carries a risk of injury. Use proper form, a spotter or safety equipment where appropriate, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. You train at your own risk and are responsible for the weights you choose to lift.
AI features
AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Changes the coach proposes to your plan are only applied when you approve them. Do not rely on AI output for medical decisions. How AI requests are handled is described in the privacy policy.
ingot Pro subscriptions
- ingot Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, offered monthly ($7.99 USD) or yearly ($59.99 USD). Prices in other regions are shown in the App Store before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Because ingot has no accounts, use Restore purchases in the app to recover Pro on a new install or device signed in to the same Apple ID.
Your data
Your training data is stored on your device and belongs to you. You are responsible for backing it up; the app offers an export and backup file for this. We are not responsible for data lost when a device is lost, reset or the app is deleted.
Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer the app, misuse or overload its AI relay, attempt to bypass subscription checks, or use the app for anything unlawful.
Exercise library
Exercise data and photos come from the public-domain free-exercise-db project.
Changes and availability
We may update the app, change or remove features, or update these terms. If we make material changes to these terms we will update the effective date and tell you in the app. Continuing to use ingot after that means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimer and liability
ingot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any injury, loss of data or indirect damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for ingot Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
